You can now create an App QR Code that sends anyone who scans it to the correct app store for the phone they are holding.

Until now, a business promoting a mobile app had to print one QR code for iPhone users and another for Android users, or send everyone to a landing page and make them choose. A single App QR Code handles all of it.

What you can set up

When you create a QR Code, pick the new App QR Code type and fill in three fields:

• App Store URL for iPhone and iPad users
• Play Store URL for Android users
• Other Devices URL as a fallback for anything the scan cannot identify

When someone scans the code, their device is detected and they land in the right place:

• iOS goes to the Apple App Store
• Android goes to the Google Play Store
• Anything else goes to your fallback link

Why it matters

One code works everywhere. Put the same QR on your shop window, your flyers, your posters, your packaging, your website and your campaigns, and every customer reaches a download page that works on their phone. No extra landing page, no second code, no lost downloads.

How to set it up

1. Go to QR Codes and click Create QR Code.
2. Select the App type.
3. Add your App Store URL, your Play Store URL, and an optional fallback URL for other devices.
4. Save, then download the code for print or web.

The design and customisation options for QR codes are unchanged, so you can still brand the code the way you always have.
