Your community now screens member posts and comments automatically. Any post or comment containing a word, phrase or domain you have flagged is held back from the feed and sent to admins for review, so spam and rule-breaking content never reaches your members in the first place.

How do I set up keyword moderation?

Set up moderation from your community settings by adding the words and phrases you do not want in your community. Matching is not case sensitive, and phrases work better than single words because they catch less innocent content by mistake. A starter pack of common spam and scam phrases is included, so you can be up and running with one click.

1. Go to Settings, then Content Moderation.
2. Open the Keywords tab and add your own flagged words, phrases or domains, or click Add starter pack to load common spam phrases.
3. Use the Try your rules tool to paste in sample text and check whether it would be held, before anything goes live.
4. Save your rules.

How do I review content that gets flagged?

Flagged posts and comments land in the Needs review tab, where you can act on them in one click. You see exactly which keyword triggered the flag and can preview the full post before deciding. Choose Approve and publish to send it to the feed, or Remove to take it down.

Admins are notified by email, in-app and push alert the moment something is flagged, so nothing sits unnoticed.

What does the member see while their post is held?

The author still sees their own post on their timeline, marked with an In review status. Everyone else in the community cannot see it until an admin approves it. Nobody is left wondering whether their post disappeared.

What happens to posts my members report?

Content reported by members appears in its own Reported by members tab, separate from keyword flags. You can see who reported it, read the full thread, and then choose Keep or Remove.

Will my own posts be held for review?

No. Content from admins and owners is never held. Moderation rules apply only to content created by members.

Has anything changed about searching posts?

Search inside your community now handles typos, different phrasing, synonyms and accented or non-English text, so members find the right post even when they do not type it exactly. Results are ranked by relevance rather than newest first, putting the best matches at the top.

Who should turn this on?

Any community that is growing past the point where an admin can read every post. Moderation holds problematic content before it reaches the feed instead of leaving you to clean up afterwards, so your guidelines hold up as membership grows.
