One workflow, one sending domain

Workflow Settings now has a Sender domain dropdown under Sender details. Pick any verified dedicated domain on your account and every email action in that workflow sends from it, the same way domain selection already works in Email Campaigns. If you have no dedicated domains set up yet, the dropdown does not appear.

How it works

The Sender domain dropdown lists every verified dedicated domain on your account, plus All domains.

1. All domains. Enter the sender name and the email prefix, such as marketing. Emails keep going out across your configured domains using the weighted distribution already set on the account.
2. A specific domain. Select the domain and enter the email prefix. For example, marketing on example.com sends as [email protected].

If you type a full sender email on a different domain, that sender email overrides the domain you picked and a sender domain mismatch warning appears, because mismatched domains can hurt deliverability. Sender details set inside an individual email action always take final priority over the workflow-level setting.

How to set it up

• Add and verify your domain under Email Services, then Dedicated Domains.
• Open the workflow, go to Settings, and pick the domain under Sender domain.
• Set a From name and From email, then save. Every email action in that workflow inherits it.

Why this matters for your business

Until now every workflow on an account went out on the same domain. You could change the From address on a workflow, but that only changed the name people saw, not the domain the mail was actually sent on. So a promotional blast and a booking confirmation rose and fell together: one bad campaign could push your receipts and reminders into the spam folder too.

Now you pick the domain workflow by workflow. Reminders and receipts sit on one domain, promotions and cold outreach on another, and a campaign that lands badly costs you only that one domain. You can also try a new domain on a single workflow and watch how it performs before moving anything else across.

A clinic, for example, might send appointment reminders and payment receipts on one domain and run its monthly promotional nurture on another. The promotional volume builds its reputation on its own domain, so a bad month there leaves the reminders untouched.

Good to know

• Only verified domains from Email Services appear in the dropdown.
• Sender details on an individual email action override the workflow settings, including the domain.
• Email headers configured in your dedicated email settings take priority over the ones in workflow settings.
