A Clearer Rental Checkout That Keeps the Cart Intact
The rentals booking page, listing detail page and checkout have all been tidied up. You can rename the cart button in your own words, customers see their rental dates right through checkout, and a cart no longer empties itself when someone clicks your logo.
Can I change the wording on the cart button?
Yes, when Multi-item cart is switched on. The button defaults to "Add to cart", and you can replace that with whatever suits your business — "Reserve this", "Add to booking", anything. If multi-item cart is off, the button doesn't appear and single-item bookings are unaffected.
- Go to Global settings and open the Booking page tab.
- Enable Multi-item cart. This reveals the "Add to booking button label" field.
- Type the label you want and save. It appears on the booking page straight away.
What else changed for customers?
Three things, and none of them need any setup from you — they are already live on every rental listing.
- Rental dates at checkout — the dates now appear in the Order Summary, so customers can confirm they are booking the right days before paying.
- Full descriptions on show — listing descriptions are displayed inline and expanded by default, so guests read the whole thing without tapping "Read more". The mobile version has been improved too.
- The cart survives navigation — clicking your company logo to go back to the home page no longer empties an in-progress booking.
Why does this matter to my bookings?
Most abandoned bookings come from small moments of doubt. Showing the dates at the point of payment removes the most common one, and a cart that survives a stray click removes another. Customers who can read a full listing description without extra taps decide faster.
You'll find the button label setting under Global settings, on the Booking page tab. Everything else is already on.
