Notes and task descriptions in Ignite Funnels now have a formatting toolbar. You can bold key points, break details into numbered steps and drop in a link without leaving the record. Formatting you apply shows the same way everywhere that note or task appears.

What formatting can I use?

The toolbar covers the basics you need to make a note readable rather than a wall of text. You can style text, structure it into lists and add links to supporting material. Undo and redo are there if you change your mind.

How do I use it?

The toolbar sits above the Description area of any note or task, so there is nothing to switch on first. Type or paste your content, then highlight text and apply the formatting you want before saving.

1. Open a note or a task and click into the Description area.
2. Type your content, or paste it in from another document.
3. Highlight the text you want to change and use the toolbar.
4. Save the note or task.

Will pasted text keep its formatting?

Basic formatting is preserved when you paste from an outside document, so a list stays a list instead of collapsing into one paragraph. This saves retyping meeting notes or a quotation you have already written elsewhere. Anything that does not carry over can be reapplied with the toolbar.

Where does the formatted text show up?

Formatted notes and tasks display consistently across contacts, opportunities, companies and dashboards. A colleague opening the record from a different area sees the same layout you saved. That makes handovers between staff much clearer.
