Audit Logs now cover contact preferences and subscription types. Every time someone on your team changes what a contact has agreed to receive, the log records who did it, when, and what the value was before and after. If a customer ever asks why they were emailed, you have the answer on file.

What gets recorded when a contact's preferences change?

Each change is logged with the full picture, not just the fact that something moved. That is what makes the record usable months later when nobody remembers the conversation.

• Which contact's preferences were updated
• Who made the change
• When the change was made
• The previous value and the updated value

Are changes to subscription types tracked too?

Yes. Modifications made to subscription types in the Preference Management Hub are logged in the same way, covering which subscription type was changed, who changed it, when, and which settings were affected. A newsletter type quietly reconfigured is no longer invisible.

How do I view the logs?

1. Go to Settings, then Audit Logs.
2. Open any entry to see the user, the affected record, the timestamp and the details of the change.
3. Export the records when you need them for compliance or reporting.

Why does this matter for my business?

Marketing consent is something you may have to prove rather than simply assert. An exportable record of who changed what and when gives you evidence for compliance, and it settles the internal question of how a contact ended up on or off a list without anyone having to guess.
