Help New Customers Find Your Community on Search
Community and course pages hosted on GoKollab now carry the page structure search engines look for, which means your community can be found by people searching rather than only by people you send a link to. The changes cover headings, page titles, descriptions and internal links. They were applied across existing pages, so your community benefits without any work on your part.
What actually changed on my pages?
Search engines read a page by its headings and its title text. Those were missing or inconsistent before, so pages were harder to index correctly. Every relevant page now uses proper H1, H2 and H3 headings in order, which also makes the pages easier to read for anyone using a screen reader.
Which pages get a title and description in search results?
The homepage, the Discover page, sales pages and profile pages each now carry their own meta title and meta description. That is the blue headline and the grey summary line a person sees in a list of search results. Pages with clear titles and descriptions get clicked more often than pages where a search engine has to guess.
How does someone browsing find my community?
A structured category navigation now groups communities by theme, so a visitor can browse their way to yours instead of needing the exact name. This also creates internal links between related pages, which helps search engines understand what each community is about.
What if someone types my link with the wrong capitals?
Links now work regardless of capitalisation, so /Community and /community both open the same page. Previously a mistyped capital could produce an error page, and it also meant search engines sometimes treated the two spellings as separate duplicate pages.
Do I need to change anything myself?
No. These changes were applied across the platform and cover pages you have already created. Writing a clear community name and description still helps, because that text is what appears in the page title and in search results.
You will find this reflected on your community and course sales pages and on your public profile page.
