You can now control how your invoices look. Invoice layout settings let you change the colours, the button wording, the business details you show, the section names and the column labels, so an invoice carries your brand instead of a generic template. Changes preview live and apply to every invoice you send once you save.

Where do I change my invoice layout?

Invoice layout is a settings screen, not something you edit on each invoice. You set it up once and every invoice you send afterwards uses it.

1. Go to Payments, then Invoices & Estimates, then Settings, then Title, Terms, and Layout.
2. Under Invoice Layout, click Customize Layout.

What can I actually change?

Four areas: your branding, your business information, the section names and the column labels. Each one has its own panel, and you can show or hide most items rather than only editing them.

• Branding sets the pay button colour, the border colour and the button text itself, so "Pay" can read "Donate" or anything that suits what you are charging for.
• Business Information shows or hides your company name, phone number and tax IDs, and lets you add up to three custom values of your own.
• Sections renames the blocks on the invoice. "Contact Information" can become "Shipping Details", and you can add custom fields to contact information without leaving the panel.
• Labels edits the column headings such as Item Name, Price, Quantity, Tax and Subtotal, or hides them entirely.

How do I check it before a customer sees it?

The customisation panel previews your changes live on the invoice template as you make them. Nothing goes out to a customer until you click Save Changes, so you can try a colour or a label, look at the preview, and change your mind.

Why is this worth setting up?

An invoice is one of the few documents every customer reads carefully. One that carries your colours, your wording and your business details builds confidence in a way a default template does not, and the flexible fields mean you can shape it to whatever your trade actually needs to show.
