Free Up an SEO Slot by Deleting a Site You No Longer Audit
You can delete a Site Project in the SEO tool and get that slot back straight away. Your account allows four Site Projects at a time, so removing one you have finished with lets you audit a different website without asking for more. The deletion is permanent and also removes the SEO fixes that project applied.
How do I delete a Site Project?
Deleting takes three steps and happens immediately. Make sure you have picked the right project first, because the action cannot be undone.
- Open the SEO section.
- Select the Site Project you want to remove.
- Confirm the deletion.
What happens to my quota?
Your Site Projects quota is restored the moment the deletion completes, so you can add a new site right away. There is no waiting period and no need to contact support. You can check how many slots you have left at any time.
Do I lose the SEO fixes that project made?
Yes. Every fix applied through that Site Project is rolled back and removed from the site, including funnel path fixes, blog path fixes and fixes applied to external sites. If you plan to keep those improvements, note them down before you delete. Deleting is permanent and the project cannot be recovered afterwards.
When should I actually use this?
Delete a Site Project when you have finished auditing a site and want the slot for something more important. It is also useful if you added the wrong domain, or if you handle several client sites and need to move your attention between them. The point is that your four slots follow your priorities rather than whatever you picked first.
Where to find it: the SEO section, with your remaining slots shown under Settings, then Quota Info.
