A social post that fails to publish can now be retried or rescheduled directly from Social Planner. The original content, settings and connected accounts are kept, so a temporary glitch no longer means cloning the post or writing it out again.

How do I retry a failed post?

Failed posts now carry their own recovery options in the actions menu, and you can reach them from wherever you happen to be looking at your posts.

1. Go to Marketing, then Social Planner.
2. Open the Failed Posts section.
3. Click the three-dot menu on the post that failed.
4. Choose Retry Post Now to publish immediately, or Reschedule Post to pick a new time.
5. Confirm your choice.

What is the difference between retrying and rescheduling?

Retry Now tries to publish again straight away, using the same content, settings and accounts as the first attempt. If it succeeds the post moves into the Published state. Reschedule Post instead sends it back to the Scheduled state at a future date and time you choose.

Where can I get to these options from?

All three views of your posts carry the same recovery actions, so you do not have to switch layouts to fix something.

What are the limits?

The recovery actions only appear on posts that are actually in the Failed state. Two things are worth planning around if you publish in volume.

• Bulk retry is not included, so failed posts are handled one at a time.
• Automatic retries are not supported, so a failed post waits until you act on it.

Who should use this?

Any business scheduling posts ahead of time, especially where a campaign depends on posts landing in a particular order. Checking the Failed Posts section becomes a quick habit rather than a rebuild job.
