The ringing tone your callers hear now matches the country of the phone number on the call. Callers outside the United States used to hear an American-style ringback while they waited, which sounded foreign enough that some people hung up before anyone could answer.

Why did this matter?

A ringtone is the first thing a caller hears, and an unfamiliar one reads as a wrong number or a scam call. When a Kenyan customer rings a Kenyan business and hears an American tone, the instinct is to hang up. Matching the tone to the country removes that doubt in the first second of the call.

When does the local tone apply?

On every path a call can take through the system, not just direct calls. The tone is now localised across 37 countries.

• Inbound calls being forwarded to you
• Outbound calls you place to customers
• Calls being routed through your IVR menu
• Calls transferred by Voice AI

Do I need to change any settings?

No. The tone is chosen from the country of the phone number involved in the call, so it applies on its own to the numbers you already use.

Who should use this?

Every business operating outside the United States, and especially any business where customers call in cold and decide within a few seconds whether to stay on the line.

This applies automatically to calls made and received through your Ignite Funnels phone system.
