WhatsApp No Longer Asks You to Reconnect a Live Account
Two WhatsApp problems your team hit every day are now fixed. The conversation composer no longer shows a "Connect WhatsApp" prompt on an account that is already connected, and the WhatsApp settings page no longer opens blank. Both surfaces now load in the correct state the first time.
Why was I asked to connect an account that was already connected?
After the 24-hour WhatsApp messaging window closed, the composer sometimes rendered before it had finished checking your connection status, so it fell back to a "Connect WhatsApp" prompt. That blocked template sends, which are the only messages WhatsApp allows once that window has passed. The composer and the calling button now wait for the connection status to resolve before they render, so a connected account gets the template sending option instead of a reconnect prompt.
What changed on the WhatsApp settings page?
The Settings > WhatsApp tab could get stuck on a blank or loading screen until you refreshed several times. It now renders on first open, and it loads considerably faster.
- Speed Index improved from 13.2 seconds to 4.3 seconds.
- First Contentful Paint improved from 3.8 seconds to 1.0 seconds.
Do I need to do anything?
No. Both fixes are already live and apply automatically to every account. There is no setting to change and nothing to reconnect.
Why does this matter for my business?
These are the two WhatsApp screens your team touches most. A false reconnect prompt makes a perfectly healthy account look broken and stops staff sending templates at exactly the moment they need to, once the 24-hour window has closed. A blank settings page stalls setup and everyday configuration. Both now load correctly on the first try.
