Know Exactly How to Fix a Rejected SMS Registration
When an SMS campaign registration is rejected, the View required fixes window now gives you guidance that matches the way you registered. Chat Widget (Quick Setup) registrations and Manual Setup registrations get different instructions, because the thing you need to change sits in a different place for each. You should be able to fix the problem and resubmit without asking anyone for help.
Why was I being told to fix things I never set up?
The window used to show the carrier's generic guidance to everyone, whatever route they took. If you registered through the Chat Widget, that often meant being told to edit consent wording or form fields that the widget generates for you, which you could not change. That no longer happens.
What does the guidance tell me now?
Each rejection reason explains what went wrong in plain language, then lists the specific actions that will fix it. For a Chat Widget registration, the steps stay on things you control: your website, the other forms on your site, and your policy links. For Manual Setup, you get the steps that apply to a manual registration instead.
What if the carrier wants specific wording on my site?
For reasons like privacy policy verification, the steps now include the exact statement the carrier requires. Copy it across to your privacy policy as written, rather than guessing at a wording that may be rejected again.
Will resubmitting on its own get me approved?
Not always, and the window now tells you when. For reasons such as a business type mismatch, it states what has to change before another submission has any chance of passing. That saves you a round of waiting on a resubmission that was never going to clear.
Where do I see this?
Open the rejected campaign registration and choose View required fixes. The guidance you see there is matched to your setup, so work through the steps it lists and resubmit.
