Find the Deals That Need You This Week

Advanced Filters in Opportunities has been rebuilt, and the big change is relative dates. You can now ask for deals due in the next seven days or untouched for more than thirty, instead of picking calendar dates and redoing it every week. The same filter logic is available inside Smart Tags, so a view you build once keeps working on its own.

What can I filter on now that I could not before?

The main addition is a set of date operators that work on time relative to today rather than on fixed dates. Combined with nested conditions, that covers the questions you actually ask about a pipeline.

How do I build a filter?

Open Advanced Filters in Opportunities and work down the panel: pick a field, pick an operator, then set the value. Relative time is entered as a number and a unit, so ten days or two weeks, and it recalculates every time you open the view.

1. Open Advanced Filters in Opportunities.
2. Choose a field from the grouped sections, such as Opportunity Details or Associations.
3. Choose an operator, for example In the next or More than.
4. Set the time as a relative value such as 10 days, or as a fixed date.
5. Add a Stage filter if you want to narrow it further.
6. Combine conditions using AND or nested logic, then apply.

Can I save this instead of rebuilding it?

Yes. Every filter capability described here is available when you create a Smart Tag, so the condition becomes a reusable rule rather than something you set up again each morning. Build it once and the tag keeps applying it as deals move.

What are the practical uses?

Two patterns cover most of it: what needs doing soon, and what has gone quiet. Relative dates handle both without any maintenance.

• Follow-ups falling due in the next 7 days
• Deals with no activity for more than 30 days
• Quotes that expire this month, grouped by stage

Will my existing filters still work?

Yes. Filters you set up before this change are unaffected and continue to work exactly as they did. The new operators are added alongside them, so nothing needs rebuilding.
