Show Your AI Exactly What the Picture Should Look Like
Show the AI what you want instead of describing it
The AI Image Generation action now accepts reference images. Attach up to five pictures alongside your prompt and you control the setting, the subject and your branding directly, rather than trying to put all of it into words.

What you get
- Up to five reference images per action. Each one is sent to the model as visual context along with your prompt.
- Three ways to add them. Upload from your computer, pick from the Media Library, or point at a URL.
- Reference URLs that change per customer. The URL field accepts custom values, so a reference can come from a webhook, a contact field or an earlier action. One workflow can use a different reference image for every contact.
- Order is respected. Images are passed in the order you add them, so your prompt can refer to each one by its position.

How to use it
- Open the AI Image Generation action in your workflow.
- Write your prompt as usual.
- Scroll to the Reference images section below the templates.
- Choose a source: upload from your computer, the Media Library, or a URL.
- Add your images. The counter on the right shows how many of the five you have used.
- Refer to each image by its position inside the prompt.
- Save the action.

A worked example: one lifestyle photo, no photo shoot
Say you want a brand photo of a model at a seaside restaurant, with your logo in the corner. No photographer, no designer, no studio.
Three reference images are uploaded, in this order:
- The setting: a photo of a seaside restaurant terrace.
- The subject: a portrait of the model.
- The logo: your brand mark.
The prompt then gives each one a job by position: a realistic image of a lady in a light summer dress, sitting in the location shown in the first reference image, looking into the camera with a smile, with the logo from the third reference image placed neatly in the bottom right corner.
The result puts the subject from the second reference inside the setting from the first, with the logo from the third rendered cleanly in the corner.

Why it matters
A face, a room or an exact logo never survives a written description. Reference images move image generation from describing to showing, which is the difference between something roughly similar and the picture you actually wanted. Your logo and your real product shots come through exactly, instead of near misses.
Reference URLs that pull from your data also make personalised visuals possible at volume. A single action can produce a different image for every contact who passes through it, using whatever the workflow already knows about them.
Where to find it
Go to Automation, then Workflows, open a workflow, add or open the AI Image Generation action, and scroll down to Reference images.
