See Which Services and Rentals Actually Make You Money

Two sets of dashboard widgets now cover the parts of the business that bookings alone never showed: 11 widgets for appointment services and 11 for rentals. You can see which services earn the most, which staff are booked solid, which coupons are worth running, and which rental items are overdue back.

What do the appointment service widgets show me?

They break your service bookings down by money and by people, rather than counting appointments. You get revenue, coupon performance, staff rankings and location-level figures, so you can tell a busy service from a profitable one.

What do the rental widgets track?

They follow a rental through its whole life, not just the moment it was booked. That covers the money, the stock and the items you need chasing.

• Deposits collected
• Bookings by stage: upcoming, active, overdue and unconfirmed

Overdue and unconfirmed rentals are the two that pay for themselves quickly, since both are usually found by someone noticing rather than by a report.

Has my appointment count changed?

Yes, and this is worth knowing before you compare figures month on month. Appointment count widgets in the Meetings module now count meetings only. Service bookings and rental bookings have their own dedicated widgets under the Services sub-module, so a drop in your meetings number may simply be service bookings moving to their own widget.

How do I add them to my dashboard?

1. Make sure Services or Rentals are enabled on your account's calendar settings.
2. Open your Dashboard, or the Custom Reports builder.
3. Go to Widgets, then the Appointments module.
4. Add the Service or Rentals widgets you want, and arrange them on the dashboard.

The widgets are grouped under Appointments across Meetings, Services and Rentals, and the two relocated Appointment Count widgets now sit under Services. They are also available in the quick filters panel and in custom metrics, and they work in every supported language.

Who is this for?

Any business that sells booked services or hires equipment out. A salon, a clinic, a repair shop or an equipment hire business can finally see revenue and stock in the same place as the calendar.
