Ask a Question on Your Phone Without Typing a Word
You can now talk to Ask AI on the mobile app instead of typing. Tap the microphone, speak your question, and the assistant answers out loud while it keeps listening, so you can interrupt it, correct it or ask a follow-up the way you would in a normal conversation. This is for the moments when typing is the slowest option: driving between jobs, walking into a meeting, or standing in your shop with your hands full.
How do I start talking to Ask AI?
Open Ask AI on the mobile app and tap the microphone on the message bar. The first time you do this, the app asks permission to use your microphone. Allow it once and the microphone is ready every time after that.
- Open Ask AI on the mobile app.
- Tap the microphone on the message bar.
- Allow microphone access the first time you are asked.
- Speak your question and wait for the spoken reply.

What do I see while I am speaking?
Your words appear on screen as a bubble while you are still talking, then settle into a final transcript with the length of the recording beside it. The reply comes back as audio through your speaker or headset, and the text highlights in time with the voice so you can read along while you listen.

Can I interrupt it while it is talking?
Yes. Start speaking while the assistant is mid-sentence and it stops immediately and listens to you. You never have to sit through a long answer before you redirect it or ask something else.
How do I answer when the assistant asks me something?
When the assistant shows a question or an approval card, the microphone pauses on its own so it does not pick up background noise while you decide. Tap your answer and the microphone picks straight back up in the same conversation.

Does it work with earphones and hands-free?
Bluetooth headsets and wireless earphones are used automatically as soon as they are connected, with echo cancellation so the assistant never hears its own voice coming back through the speaker. Phone calls, voice assistants and switching to another app are all handled cleanly, so nothing is left recording after you have moved on.
What happens if my network drops mid-conversation?
A weak or dropped connection shows a reconnecting message and then picks up the same conversation instead of starting a new one, so you do not lose what you have already asked. You can also close the Ask AI sheet in the middle of a conversation and come back to it.
- A dropped signal shows a reconnecting notice, then resumes the same conversation.
- Closing the Ask AI sheet keeps voice live, shown on the floating button.
- Tapping that floating button drops you back in where you left off.

Do my spoken and typed messages stay together?
Voice and typed messages sit in the same thread with the same history. Speak one question, type the next, and scroll back through both later without switching anywhere.
You will find this in the mobile app: open Ask AI and tap the microphone on the message bar.
