Bad Email Addresses Are Blocked Before You Send

Ignite Funnels now checks the domain on an email address before anything is sent to it, and blocks the send if that domain is invalid or restricted. Bounces from junk addresses no longer count against you, which protects the sender reputation your real emails depend on.

What exactly gets blocked?

Addresses on domains known to be invalid or restricted are stopped before the send goes out. The check runs on the domain part of the address, so typos and throwaway domains that would have bounced are caught first.

When does the check happen?

Before sending, not after. The address is validated at the point it would be used for an email, so a bad address is rejected up front instead of producing a failed delivery later. That keeps your bounce rate down rather than recording the failure and moving on.

What will I see if an address is blocked?

A clear message on the address itself, reading: "This email address is invalid as the domain is restricted for security reasons". There is no guesswork about why the send did not happen, and you can correct or remove the contact straight away.

Why does this matter for my business?

Mailbox providers judge you on how many of your emails bounce. A list carrying dead addresses drags down delivery for everyone else on it, so your invoices, booking confirmations and offers are more likely to land in spam. Blocking those addresses before they are used keeps your list clean without you auditing it by hand.
