Add a Dozen Fields to a Form in One Go

Building a long form used to mean dragging fields across one at a time. The Custom Fields sidebar now has a checkbox on every field row, so you can select as many as you need and add them all in a single action. The same sidebar works this way in the form, survey and quiz builders.

How do I add several fields at once?

You tick the fields you want and then either click the add button or drag the whole selection onto the canvas. Fields land after whichever element you currently have selected, so they arrive in the right part of the form rather than at the bottom.

1. Open a form, survey or quiz in the builder.
2. Go to the Add Object Fields tab.
3. Choose an object from the dropdown.
4. Tick the fields you want using the row checkboxes.
5. Click Add fields, or drag the selected fields onto the canvas.

How do I find the right field quickly?

The sidebar filters by object and searches by name, which matters once an account has hundreds of fields. Pick Contact, Opportunity, Business or one of your custom objects from the dropdown to narrow the list, then search for the field name. Where a name is too long to display, hovering over it shows the full name.

Does this change my existing forms?

No. Forms you have already built are untouched, and the checks applied when fields are added in bulk are the same ones applied to a single field. Surveys set to show one question per slide keep that setting.
