Colour-Code Your Whole Tag List in One Action

You can now change the colour of up to 100 tags in a single action, instead of editing them one at a time. A second change lets you create a new category directly from the category selector while you are assigning tags. Both make tidying up a large tag list a job of minutes rather than an afternoon.

How do I change the colour of several tags at once?

Select the tags on the Tags management page, choose the update colour action, and pick one colour for the whole selection. The colour is applied to every tag you selected in one go.

1. Go to your Tags management page.
2. Tick the tags you want to recolour.
3. Choose the update colour action.
4. Select the colour you want and apply it to the whole selection.

How many tags can I update at a time?

Up to 100 tags in one bulk action. If your list is longer than that, work through it in batches of 100 and the same colour can be applied to each batch.

Can I create a new category while I am assigning tags?

Yes. When you open the category selector and the category you need does not exist yet, you can create it right there and carry on with what you were doing. There is no need to leave the screen, set the category up separately and come back.

Why bother colour-coding tags?

Colour turns a long alphabetical tag list into something you can read at a glance. Give each part of your business its own colour, and anyone on your team can see what a contact is tagged for without stopping to read every label.

• One colour per service line, so enquiries for different products are obvious on the contact record.
• One colour per lead source, to see at a glance where a contact came from.
• One colour per stage or team, so staff know which tags belong to them.
