Download Certificates as a PDF, a PNG or a JPG

Certificates and badges now download in three formats instead of one, so you can pick the format that suits where the credential is going. PDF is for printing, PNG is for a clean image with a transparent background, and JPG is the small file that email and social platforms handle best. The same three options are available for both certificates and badges.

Which format should I choose?

Choose by what the file has to do next. A certificate you are printing and handing over should be a PDF; one going into a WhatsApp message or onto a page is better as a JPG.

• PDF for professional printing and high-quality documents.
• PNG for a high-quality image with transparency.
• JPG for email, websites and sharing on social media.

Does this work for badges too?

Yes. Badges and certificates both offer the same three download formats, so you do not have to remember different rules for each. A learner collecting a badge and a certificate from the same course gets the same set of choices for both.

Who benefits from the extra formats?

Anyone who issues credentials and then has to use them somewhere else. Trainers printing certificates for a graduation get a proper print file, and learners who want to post the achievement get a file that uploads without complaint. Nobody has to convert a file by hand to make it usable.
