Format Posts and Ban Spammers Without Leaving the Feed
Writing and moderating community posts now happens without leaving the feed. You get a floating formatting toolbar when you select text, a Ban User option on every post, and a direct download for recordings. The comment editor also follows the keyboard shortcuts most people expect.
How do I format text in a post?
Select any text inside a post and a small formatting toolbar appears above it. You apply the formatting you want straight from that toolbar, with no menus to open first. The available options are Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough and inserting a link.
How do I ban a spammer?
You ban a member directly from the offending post, rather than hunting for their name in the Members tab. A confirmation dialog appears first, and it offers to delete everything that member has posted at the same time. That clears a spam run in a single action.
- Open the three-dot menu on the member's post.
- Select Ban User.
- In the confirmation dialog, tick the option to delete all content created by that user if you want their posts removed too.
- Confirm the ban.
Can I save a recording that was posted?
Recordings are downloadable from the post itself. Open the three-dot menu on a recording post and click Download Recording to save the file. That makes it easy to reuse a session recording elsewhere, such as in a course lesson or a follow-up email.
Why does pressing Enter behave differently in comments?
The comment editor now uses the shortcuts most people already have in their fingers, after feedback that the old behaviour caught people out. Pressing Enter starts a new paragraph instead of posting half-finished comments.
- Enter starts a new paragraph.
- Shift and Enter together insert a line break inside the same paragraph.
- Ctrl and Enter together publish the comment, or you can click Post.
