Make Every Dashboard Widget Show Exactly the Numbers You Want

General widgets on your dashboard are now fully editable. You can add permanent filters, lock a widget to its own date range, compare one period against another, rename it, restyle it and duplicate it. Every setting you save sticks, so the widget shows the right numbers each time the dashboard opens.

How do I edit a dashboard widget?

Open your dashboard, switch it into edit mode, then open the menu on the widget you want to change. The editor has three tabs: Configure, Conditions and Themes. Your changes apply the moment you save.

1. Go to Dashboard and click Edit dashboard at the top right.
2. Hover over the widget you want to change and click the three-dot menu, then select Edit.
3. Use the Configure tab to change the widget title and to set a date range override under Advanced Settings.
4. Use the Conditions tab to add permanent filters by choosing a field, an operator and a value.
5. Use the Themes tab to apply a look that matches your branding.
6. Click Save. The configuration loads with the dashboard from then on.

Which filters can I lock into a widget?

The Conditions tab filters a widget by assigned user, tags, source, lead value, custom fields and attribution. These conditions are saved with the widget rather than applied for one session, so you never reapply them by hand. The fields on offer depend on the widget type and the part of the system it reports on, such as Opportunities, Email or Contacts.

Can I show each team member only their own numbers?

Yes. Set the condition Assigned user to Logged in user, and the widget shows each person only the work assigned to them. You build the dashboard once and every member of your team sees their own figures when they sign in, with no separate dashboard per person.

How do I compare this year against last year?

Set a date range override on the widget, then turn on comparison mode to measure that period against the previous period or the same period last year. The comparison shows on the face of the widget, so growth is visible without opening a report. A widget locked to This Year with a comparison against Last Year tells the whole growth story at a glance.

Why do two similar widgets show different numbers?

Each widget now prints the date property and the date range it is calculating on directly on its face. Two widgets that look alike can measure different date fields or different periods, and that is what makes their totals differ. Reading the label tells you immediately which one answers your question.

Can I rename a widget or change how it looks?

You can rename any general widget to language your team actually uses, apply a theme to match your brand colours, and duplicate a widget to reuse its setup. Duplicating is the fastest way to build one widget per segment: copy it, then change a single condition on the copy.

• Rename widgets from the Configure tab.
• Apply a visual theme from the Themes tab.
• Duplicate a configured widget and adjust the conditions on the copy.

What are the limits I should know about?

Three things behave differently from the rest. Pipeline is a runtime filter you choose on the face of the widget and is not part of Conditions. General widgets do not respond to dashboard-level Quick Filters, and the condition fields available to you change with the widget type. Configuration for Funnel and Manual Actions widgets is still to come.
