A Dropped Connection No Longer Ends Your Meeting

Meeting Rooms now survive the things that used to end a session by accident. If the host refreshes the page, loses network, or hits a permission problem, the meeting keeps running and everyone else stays connected.

What happens if I lose connection as the host?

The meeting stays open and your attendees stay in it. You can rejoin the same session straight away and pick up where you left off, with no reset and no need to send everyone a new link.

• Meetings no longer end when the host disconnects unintentionally.
• Hosts can instantly rejoin the same session.
• Attendees remain connected without disruption.

How do I leave without ending the meeting for everyone?

There are now two separate exits, so leaving and ending are no longer the same action. Use End Meeting for All when you want the session closed, and Leave when you just need to step out.

• End Meeting for All closes the session for everyone immediately.
• Leave prompts you to hand the host role to someone else before you exit.

When you choose Leave, you can search for and assign a new host, so the meeting is never left running without someone in charge.

What happens when the original host comes back?

Host roles sort themselves out automatically. The original host regains host privileges on return, and whoever was standing in reverts to being a participant. Nobody has to reassign anything by hand.

Who should use this?

Anyone running live sessions where an interruption is costly, such as a paid class, a member Q and A, or a client consultation. A refresh or a brief network drop no longer forces everyone to restart and rejoin.
