Edit an Invoice Without Losing Your Place in the List
You can now open any invoice or estimate in a separate browser tab straight from the three-dot menu. Your invoice list stays exactly as it was behind it, with your filters, your search and your scroll position intact. This turns working through a batch of invoices from a repetitive chore into a straight run down the list.
How do I open an invoice in a new tab?
The option lives in the three-dot menu on each row of the list, so it is two clicks from wherever you are.
- Go to Payments, then Invoices & Estimates.
- Click the three-dot menu beside any invoice or estimate.
- Select "Edit in a new tab".
What happens to my list while I edit?
Nothing. The invoice opens in its own tab and the list stays loaded in the original tab, still filtered and still scrolled to where you were. You can view or edit freely, close the tab, and carry on down the list.
Who benefits most from this?
Anyone reviewing or correcting several invoices in a sitting. If you filter to unpaid invoices for one month and work through them one by one, you no longer rebuild that filter after every single edit.
