Stop Rebuilding the Same Deal View Every Morning
You can now save a customised view of your deals as an Opportunity Smart List. It remembers your filters, your sort order and the fields you want on screen, so the view you use every day is one click away instead of a fresh setup each time.
What exactly gets saved in a Smart List?
A Smart List stores three things: the advanced filters you applied, the order the deals are sorted in, and which fields are visible. Reopen it any day and the same view comes back, already filtered against your current deals.
How do I create one?
Smart Lists are switched on in Labs first, then built directly from the Opportunities screen. You can build them in either Board view or List view, and the view you build in is the type the Smart List keeps.
- Open Labs in your account settings and turn on Opportunity Smartlists - Views & Defaults.
- Go to Opportunities and choose Board view or List view.
- Apply the filters, sorting and fields you want to keep.
- Choose whether the Smart List shows in all pipelines or only the ones you select.
- Name the Smart List and save it.
Can I make one view the default for my whole team?
Yes. Any Smart List can be set as the default view for specific pipelines, and that default applies to everyone in the account rather than only the person who set it. It is the fastest way to get a team looking at the same deals the same way.
Who can see the Smart Lists I create?
New Smart Lists are shared with admins only until you change that. You can open them up to everyone or to named people, and each person you share with gets either view access or edit access. Anyone with edit access can also change the sharing settings themselves.
What else can I do with a saved list?
Each Smart List can be duplicated, exported or shared by direct link, and a Manage Smart Lists page gathers all of them in one place so nothing gets lost. When you change a saved view you can either update it or save the change as a new list.
- Duplicate an existing Smart List to make a variation quickly
- Export the results to CSV
- Copy a direct link to the list and send it to a colleague
- Save changes back to the same list, or as a new one
Who should use this?
Teams that keep filtering the same way every day: deals owned by one person, deals stuck in one stage, deals closing this month. If you find yourself setting up the same filters each morning, a Smart List removes that step for good.
