Set a Task Once and Let It Repeat Itself
Tasks can now repeat on a schedule instead of being created by hand every time. Set the follow-up call, the weekly stock check or the monthly invoice run once, choose how often it should come back, and Ignite Funnels creates each new instance for you. You can end the series on a date, after a set number of occurrences, or never.
How do I make a task repeat?
Recurrence is a toggle inside the task itself, so you set it up while you are creating the task. You can also turn an existing one-off task into a recurring one without starting again.
- From the Tasks, Contacts or Companies page, open the Add New Task window.
- Fill in the task name, description and any other details.
- Toggle on Recurring Tasks.
- In the Repeats Every field, set the interval — every 1 day, every 2 weeks, every month, and so on.
- Choose your Ends On option.
- Select the assignee and the contact, then click Save to start the recurrence.
What settings can I control?
A recurring task is defined by how often it repeats and when it stops. Both are set when you create it and both can be changed later.
- Frequency — hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly
- Ends: Never — the task keeps repeating indefinitely
- Ends: Custom Date — the recurrence stops on a date you pick
- Ends: After a set number of occurrences — the task repeats a fixed number of times
What happens if I have not finished the last one?
That is your choice. Tick Create even if previous task is overdue and the next instance appears on schedule whether or not you completed the one before it. Leave it off and the series waits for you. Turn it on for anything time-bound like a daily opening check, and leave it off for work that has to be done in order.
Can I change or remove just one occurrence?
Yes. When you edit a recurring task you choose whether the change applies to all future occurrences or only to the single instance in front of you, so shifting one week's appointment does not disturb the rest of the series.
- Edit — apply changes to all future occurrences or to one instance only
- Delete — remove all upcoming tasks in the series, or just one occurrence
- Restore — bring back a deleted recurring task if it was removed by mistake
