Set the Day Your Form Opens and the Day It Closes
A registration form left open after the event has passed keeps collecting entries you cannot honour. The new Schedule visibility setting lets you fix the date a form, survey or quiz opens and the date it closes, and decide what visitors see on either side of that window. Nobody has to remember to switch it off.
How do I set the opening and closing dates?
Scheduling sits in the settings of each form, survey or quiz and is off until you enable it. You set an opening time, a closing time and the time zone both are measured in.
- Open your form, survey or quiz and go to its settings.
- Enable Schedule visibility.
- Set when it opens: Right away, or a specific date.
- Set when it closes: Never, or a specific date.
- Select the time zone the schedule should follow.
- Configure what visitors see outside the active window.
What do visitors see before it opens or after it closes?
You choose between showing them a page or sending them somewhere else. A custom page lets you write your own message, such as a note that registration opens on Monday. A redirect sends them to any URL you enter, which is useful for pointing people at the next intake once an event has passed.
- Show a page with a message you design yourself.
- Open a link to redirect visitors to another address.
What happens at the scheduled times?
At the opening time the form starts accepting responses on its own. At the closing time new submissions are blocked automatically and visitors see whatever you configured. You can preview that unavailable page before you publish, so you know what people will find.
When would I use this?
Any offer with a deadline is a candidate, because the deadline enforces itself rather than depending on someone remembering.
- Event and webinar registrations that close once the deadline passes.
- Flash sales and limited-time offers available only during the promotion.
- Campaigns published in advance behind a message saying registration opens soon.
- Quizzes and competitions with a fixed entry window.
- Coupon promotions that must stop accepting claims after the closing date.
- Expired pages that redirect visitors to a waitlist or your next offer.
Does this affect the forms I already have?
No. Forms, surveys and quizzes carry on exactly as before unless you enable scheduling on them.
You will find it under Schedule visibility in the settings of any form, survey or quiz.
