Add Google-Ready Structured Data Without Writing Code
Schema Markup is now built into the website and funnel builder, so you can add structured data to a page without a separate tool or any coding. Structured data is what tells Google what a page actually is, which is how pages earn the richer search results that show ratings, prices, opening hours or FAQ answers. You fill in a guided form, the builder checks it for errors, and it goes live when you publish the page.
What is structured data and why should I bother?
Structured data is a hidden block of information that describes your page to search engines in a format they read reliably. Without it, Google has to guess that a page is a local business, a product or an event. With it, your page becomes eligible for the enhanced search listings that take up more space and get more clicks.
How do I add it to a page?
Open the page in the builder, go to the Schema Markup section and add a schema. You pick the type that matches the page, fill in the fields, and save. The builder validates what you have entered against Schema.org and Google's rich results rules, and shows any errors inline so you can fix them before publishing.
- Choose the schema type from the dropdown.
- Fill in the fields in the form view, or edit the JSON-LD directly if you prefer.
- Save. Any validation errors appear next to the fields that caused them.
- Publish the page to make the schema live.
What kinds of pages can I use it on?
A wide range of schema types is supported, covering local businesses, products, articles, FAQs and events among many others. You can also add more than one schema to a single page, which is useful when a page is both a business profile and an FAQ.
Does the schema carry across my whole site?
No. Schema markup is set per page and does not copy itself to other pages, so each page you want to mark up needs its own. Pages built with AI also need schema added after the content is generated.
When do my changes actually go live?
Saving updates the preview immediately, but the schema only reaches search engines once you publish the page. If you save and do not publish, nothing changes for Google.
You will find this in the website or funnel builder, under Edit Page, then SEO and AI search optimization, then Schema Markup. It needs to be switched on in Labs first.
