Cancel in Google Calendar and Your Booking Updates Too

When you reschedule or cancel a single-service appointment directly in a connected calendar such as Google or Outlook, the change now updates your appointment record as well as the calendar event. Previously only the calendar event changed, leaving the appointment in Ignite Funnels showing the old time or still marked as booked. That gap could lead to double-booking, and it is now closed for single-service appointments.

What do I need to do to turn this on?

Nothing. The fix is live automatically on your connected calendars. Reschedule or cancel a single-service appointment from Google or Outlook and the change flows back on its own.

Where will I see the corrected appointment?

Everywhere you would normally look. The calendar view, the appointment list view and the appointment's own details screen all now reflect a reschedule or cancellation made in the third-party calendar, so the two systems agree no matter where you made the change.

• Calendar view shows the appointment at its new time, or removed if cancelled.
• The appointment list view matches.
• Opening the appointment's details shows the updated time and status.

Does this work for appointments with several services?

Not yet. Multi-service appointments still fall out of sync if you change them directly in a third-party calendar. Manage schedule changes for those inside Ignite Funnels so the appointment and the calendar event stay in agreement.

Why does this matter for my business?

It removes a real double-booking risk. If a customer cancelled and a staff member cleared the slot in Google Calendar, that slot previously stayed blocked in your booking system, and a mismatched time could send a reminder for an appointment that no longer existed. Your calendar and your booking records now tell the same story.
