Choose Which Speaker and Microphone Your Calls Use

You can now choose exactly which devices handle audio on your calls in the web dialer. Pick the speaker that plays call audio, add a second device that rings alongside it, and set which microphone picks up your voice.

Where do I change my audio devices?

Open the audio settings from the gear icon in the dialer header. Everything sits on one screen, and your choices apply to the calls you take in the web dialer.

• Choose the primary speaker that plays call audio.
• Optionally ring a second device at the same time, a headset alongside a desk speaker for example.
• Choose which microphone to use.

How do I know I picked the right one?

Test buttons let you preview the speaker and the second device before you save, so you are not finding out mid-call that the audio is going to the wrong place. The microphone selector shows a live volume meter that moves as you speak.

Does it work in every browser?

Use Chrome or Edge for full control over your devices. Safari currently supports only one audio output device, so the second ringing device will not work there.

Who is this for?

Anyone who takes calls at a desk with more than one audio device. If you miss calls because the ring goes to a headset you are not wearing, ringing a desk speaker at the same time solves it.
