FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
IGNITE FUNNELS KENYA LAUNCHES WOMEN IN BUSINESS EMPOWERMENT CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT FORMALIZATION AND ECONOMIC GROWTH
Nairobi, Kenya
Ignite Funnels Kenya has announced the launch of a new Women in Business Empowerment Campaign, aimed at supporting established women-led businesses through access to digital systems, visibility, and practical tools that strengthen income tracking, customer management, and business formalization.
The campaign seeks to partner with 10 to 15 qualified women-owned businesses across Nairobi and the surrounding areas through an application-based selection process. Selected participants will take part in a structured engagement program that includes system implementation sessions, video testimonials, case studies, and targeted media exposure.
At the centre of the initiative is the Ignite Funnels Cash Register, a mobile-first feature that allows businesses to record transactions, manage customers, and document income in real time using a smartphone or tablet. The tool is designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises that operate in cash-heavy or informal environments, helping them build clearer financial records and more sustainable operations.
“Women-led businesses play a critical role in Kenya’s economy, yet many operate without access to systems that make growth, documentation, and formalisation easier,” said Arias WebsterBerry, founder of Ignite Funnels. “This campaign is about meeting women entrepreneurs where they are and providing infrastructure that supports the businesses they have already built.”
The Women in Business Empowerment Campaign will include: Guided onboarding and engagement sessions focused on practical system use, Real-world implementation of the Ignite Funnels Cash Register feature, Video storytelling and testimonials, shared with consent, Development of anonymised and featured case studies, and Media outreach highlighting women-owned businesses and their impact
The initiative forms part of Ignite Funnels Kenya’s broader commitment to long-term ecosystem engagement, with a focus on understanding how businesses actually operate and what tools are most useful in practice. Insights gathered through the campaign will also inform future product development and founder-focused programs.
Applications will prioritise women-led businesses that are actively operating, serving customers consistently, and interested in strengthening structure, documentation, and operational clarity.
